Who we are

BY MANLY runs this website and is responsible for the personal information collected through it. If you want to talk to a person about any of this, email hello@bymanly.com.

What we collect

If you sign up to hear when the rashvest drops, we collect the email address you give us. That's the only personal information you actively hand over on this site — we don't have accounts, a checkout, or a contact form that asks for anything more.

Our hosting provider also records standard technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. That is ordinary server logging, used to keep the site up and to spot abuse.

Why we use it

Your email address is used for one thing: to tell you when the rashvest is available, plus the occasional note about the product. We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone who wants to market to you.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Using it removes you from the list for good.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy before it goes live.

Who else sees it

We use third parties to run the site and send email — a web host and an email delivery provider. They process your information on our instructions and only to provide those services.

These providers may store data outside New Zealand. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protections apply, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Server logs are kept for a short period in the ordinary course and then discarded.

Keeping it safe

We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can't promise perfection — but we won't be careless with it either.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email hello@bymanly.com and we'll sort it out.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
